A compact Windsor “Ladies” chair with an elm seat, beech bow-back and spindles, plus two unusual yew armrest spindles, probably donated from another piece. The chair had obviously been repaired previously, but now had a broken armrest and most of the spindles and stretchers were also loose. 

A careful partial disassembly followed by a reglue and overnight clamping then a thorough oil and wax, returned it to good order and ready to go home to its proud owner.
