A pair of beautiful heirloom bow-backed Windsor chairs came in to our shop requiring various repairs including halting a split in one seat, strengthening a badly split armrest and refixing numerous spindles and stretchers. Both chairs were primarily elm, and one had an interesting roughly steam bent  “crinoline” stretcher.
